My favorite fair memory would definitely be in 6th or 7th grade (I can not really remember). I remember before we had the cards to scan for rides, we had ride coupons or tickets. During this time, I used to go on so many rides. My favorite would definitely be the infamous fireball. Sadly this ride would no longer be a part of fair after this year. However, I am happy to say I enjoyed it to the fullest. I lost track of how many times I rode on that ride. On the last day of fair probably about 15 minutes before closing, a couple friends and I rode the fireball as much as we could to finish up the rest of our ride tickets. Just as we spent our last ones we were getting ready to look for our parents. However, two older guys, one being Jordan Botelho, gave us a whole bunch of ride coupons they had not spent. We didn’t want it to go to waste so we ended up riding the fireball at least 5 or 6 more times before the ride closed and fair ended. There was no line so as soon as we got off we ran around and got right back on. It was a really fun time and one of my favorite fair memories.
A lot of my best fair memories happen at the end of fair as well. I guess we are all similar in the sense that we do not want the tickets to go to waste, so we either end up giving it to someone or rush at the end of fair to use it all. I used to spend my last tickets on food (if left) or things at the marketplace because I would be so tired by the end of fair to go on any more rides.
